Summary	This book is a collection of photographs of patients and their family members, caregivers, administrators, and others in an Oregon nursing home. Photographs are accompanied by commentaries by the subjects, who talk about their lives, their suffering, their work, their survival.
Commentary	This book beautifully documents the lives of the people who live and work in the nursing home, including the voices of the woman who is in charge of the home's laundry facilities; the head social worker; a chaplain; the daughter of a patient; nurses and nurses aides; an administrator; and the many patients themselves. The book would be a good teaching tool as a whole or in part.
