Martin Kohn, PhD, previously directed the Human Values in Medicine program at Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine (NEOUCOM) during which time he co-founded the Center for Literature and Medicine, with Carol Donley, of Hiram College. He and Dr. Donley are founding editors of the Literature and Medicine series at Kent State University Press that from 1992-2009 published 19 volumes. His research interests are in the pedagogical aspects of the medical humanities and in developing performance pieces that engage health care professionals and the public they serve in dialogue about the nature and future of health care. His poetry has appeared in numerous print and electronic journals.
